My name is Hakim, and I’ve been guiding wildlife and birding tours for more than 18 years. What began as a simple curiosity about the forest has grown into a lifelong passion, connecting people from around the world with the incredible biodiversity of my homeland.

Throughout these years, I’ve led countless expeditions across rainforests, rivers, and wetlands. Helping guests spot rare birds, observe unique wildlife behavior, and experience nature at its purest. Every journey is a story of discovery, respect, and conservation.

After nearly two decades of guiding, I realized that I wanted to create something more. A tour company built on the values I specialize and care most about : birdwatcher and photographer friendly, authentic experiences, and conservation awareness. Through every tour, I want guests to feel the same wonder I felt the first time when I saw an orangutan in the wild or heard the haunting call of a hornbill echoing through the canopy.

That’s how Borneo Wildlife Safari was born, a company dedicated to meaningful wildlife adventures and birding expeditions that make a positive impact on both nature and local communities and for everyone who seek more than just a journey.

Today, Borneo Wildlife Safari proudly operates under PT. Borneo Safari Indonesia, an officially registered travel company committed to sustainable ecotourism practices across Borneo.

Through this journey, I hope to share my deep love for wildlife and inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural world. For me, every adventure is not only about discovering Borneo’s hidden treasures but also about building a deeper connection, one that reminds us how truly precious and fragile our planet is.
